Approving a Time-Off Request by Email

How can I approve a request by email?

When a time-off request is created or requested to be canceled, an email is sent to the managers.
Within the body of this email, you have the option to include quick links for the managers to action the request.

Here's how to decide which action your Managers will have to their email.

  1. Time-Off Module
  2. Account Settings
  3. Time-Off Request tab
  4. Quick Links in Emails
  5. There are the 4 options you can choose from with their descriptions:
  • Yes- Include "Approve Cancel Reject" links, with confirmation:
The email will include approve, reject and cancel links, and when clicked, will redirect the manager to a page to confirm their choice
  • Yes- Include "Approve Cancel Reject" links, without confirmation:
The email will include approve, reject and cancel links, and when clicked, the action will be performed immediately, without further requirements
  • Yes- Include a link to an action page, that requires a login:
The email will contain a "click here to perform an action" link, the manager will be redirected to log in before they can approve/reject/cancel the request
  • No:
The email will not contain any action links. The manager would have to log in to TimeOff to access the request
