Assigning Managers to Users


Where can I assign/change Managers for a user? 

This can be done both within the Staff module or within the Time-Off module.  Below find the instructions for the Staff Module. (Time-Off option can be found here)
Assigning Managers to users into the Staff module will reflect throughout PurelyHR, the approval path can be changed afterward within each module. 

To Assign Manager(s) to an Employee:

  1. Staff Directory
  2. Select Employee
  3. In right panel under Quick Links, hit green icon next to "Managed By"
  4. Select which Manager(s) the user will have
To change Manager, follow the same steps and uncheck the box next to the manager you wish to remove

To Assign Employee(s) to a Manager:

  1. Staff Directory
  2. Select Manager
  3. In right panel under Quick Links, hit green icon next to "Managing"
  4. Select which Employee(s) will report to this Manager
To change direct reports follow the same steps and uncheck the box next to the employee you wish to remove
Managers can also be assigned by the Import/Update by CSV function
