Adding iCal Link To Google Calendar

You can sync your PurelyHR Time-Off™ calendar with Google Calendar to easily view upcoming time off alongside your meetings, appointments, and reminders.


Step 1: Retrieve your iCalendar link in PurelyHR

  1. Go to iCalendar Setup in the left-hand menu.
  2. Select your time zone and click Save.
  3. Copy either your Default iCalendar Link or a Customized Calendar Link.
  • Default iCalendar Link → Includes your own requests, company holidays, and special event dates.

  • Customized Calendar Link → Choose the details you want to display, including:

    • Requests – Your requests only, or all requests in your organization
    • Comments – Show or hide comments on time-off requests
    • Holidays – Display paid company holidays
    • Events – Display special event days
    • Time-Off Types – Select which time-off types you want to display

Step 2: Add your iCalendar link to Google Calendar

  1. Sign in to your Google account and open Google Calendar.
  2. On the left, next to Other Calendars, click Add (+)From URL.
  3. Paste your iCal link from PurelyHR and click Add Calendar.
  4. Your PurelyHR calendar will now appear under Other Calendars. Toggle the checkbox to show or hide it.

💡 Tip: Use a customized calendar link if you want full control over what appears in your Google Calendar.
