Adding stat holidays to the Time-off calendar.

How to Import and Manage Paid Holidays in PurelyHR

When setting up your account and at the start of each new year, it is important to load the holidays your organization observes in the Staff™ module. This ensures accurate time-off tracking and compliance with local regulations.

Importing Multiple Holidays

PurelyHR makes it easy to import statutory holidays for your country. Follow these steps:

  1. In the left-hand menu, select Paid Holidays.
  2. Click Import Holidays.
  3. Select the year.
  4. Select the country.
    • Based on the country you select, PurelyHR will generate a list of statutory holidays, including their name and the date they are observed.
  5. Select the holidays your office observes.
  6. If necessary, modify the Observed Date.
  7. Select the office(s) the holidays apply to.
  8. Click Import.

Tip: We recommend importing holidays for at least two years at a time, but you can import up to five years ahead. To do this, repeat the process and select a future calendar year.

Creating Custom Holidays

If your company observes additional holidays that do not appear in the list, you can create custom holidays:

  1. Click Create Holiday.
  2. Enter the name of the holiday.
  3. Select the date it is observed.
  4. If it is not a full-day holiday, select Partial Day and set the start and end time.
  5. Select the office(s) the holiday applies to.
  6. Click Save.

Modifying Holidays

To edit an existing holiday:

  1. From the main Paid Holidays screen, click Edit next to the holiday name.
  2. Update the name, date, or mark it as a partial day holiday.
  3. Click Save.

Why This Matters

Keeping your holiday list updated ensures accurate time-off calculations and prevents scheduling conflicts. It also helps employees plan their time off with confidence.
