Assigning Managers to Users

Assigning Managers to users into the Staff module will reflect throughout PurelyHR, the approval path can be changed afterward within each module. 

Where Can I Assign/Change Managers For a User?

Managing reporting relationships is easy in PurelyHR. You can assign or change managers for users in two ways: through the Staff module or Time-Off module. (View Time-Off Option)

To Assign Manager(s) to an Employee:

  1. Staff Directory
  2. Select Employee
  3. In right panel under Quick Links, click green icon next to Managed By.
  4. Select which Manager(s) the user will have
  5. To change Manager, follow the same steps and uncheck the box next to the manager you wish to remove

To Assign Employee(s) to a Manager:

  1. Staff Directory
  2. Select Manager
  3. In right panel under Quick Links, hit green icon next to Managing.
  4. Select which Employee(s) will report to this Manager
  5. To change direct reports follow the same steps and uncheck the box next to the employee you wish to remove.

Managers can also be assigned by the Import/Update by CSV function for bulk updates.
