One Time Password

In some organizations, not all employees have a company email address. To ensure these users can still access their accounts securely, we offer a First-Time Login Password feature. This allows an admin to set a temporary password that the user can use to log in for the first time and set their own secure password.

Administrators are able to set or change the one-time password to allow users with no email to log into their PurelyHR account.

To change your password, go to the Staff module:

  1. Select Account settings
  2. General tab
  3. Turn the toggle on for "Allow users without email"
  4. Turn the toggle on for "Allow the use of a first-time login password for users without email."
  5. Choose a new password
  6. Confirm your new password
    • Password requirements:

      ✅ At least 15 characters
      ✅ Must include an uppercase letter
      ✅ Must include a lowercase letter
      ✅ Must include a special character (e.g., !@#$%)
      ✅ Must include a number
  7. Select Submit
