Enhanced Pending Request Reminders: Flexible Occurrence Settings

We’ve enhanced the Pending Request Reminder feature to give administrators more flexibility and control over when reminder emails are sent.

What’s New

You can now configure up to three reminder occurrences, each with its own timing and reference point. This allows you to send reminders at multiple stages throughout the lifecycle of a pending request.

🔧 New Capabilities

  • Up to 3 reminders per request

  • Each reminder can be configured independently

  • Choose what each reminder is relative to:

    • Event Date (e.g., time-off start date)

    • Created Date (when the request was submitted)

  • Reminder behavior was refined for better consistency between modules

⏱ How It Works

For each occurrence, you define:

  • A number of days

  • A reference point (Event Date or Created Date)

Examples:

  • -5 relative to Event Date → reminder sent 5 days before the request start date

  • 3 relative to Created Date → reminder sent 3 days after the request was submitted

✅ Why This Matters

This enhancement helps ensure that:

  • Pending requests are not missed or forgotten

  • Managers are notified at the right time

  • You can combine proactive reminders (before events) with follow-ups (after submission)

💡 Best Use Cases

  • Remind managers before upcoming employee absences

  • Follow up on requests that remain pending for several days

  • Create multiple touchpoints to improve response time

Additional safeguard: negative reminder intervals for reminders relative to Created Date have been removed, since those dates have already passed by definition.

Performance Goal Comment Timestamps: Viewer Time Zone Support

We improved how goal comment timestamps are displayed to make collaboration clearer across distributed teams.

What’s New

Goal comment timestamps now better align with the viewer’s time zone, including improved support for timezone abbreviations.

  • User time zone support for goal comment timestamps

  • Better handling and display of timezone abbreviations

  • User cache invalidation and timezone sync improvements when preferences are updated

Time Clock Time Zone Accuracy Improvements

We introduced updates to improve punch-time reliability and reduce time zone drift.

What’s New

TimeClock punch scripts now use system time zone information instead of outdated database time zone data.

🔧 New Capabilities

  • TimeClock processing now references up-to-date system timezone data

  • Related timezone off-by-one behavior fixes were included

Approval Hierarchy Visibility with Disabled Managers

We improved approval hierarchy behavior so visibility is preserved in edge cases.

What’s New

The approval hierarchy view is now separated from apply logic, ensuring the hierarchy remains visible even when one manager is disabled and only one remains.

Performance Review Summary: Smarter Rating Display

We refined the performance review summary UI for better alignment with account settings.

What’s New

The score display is now removed from the review summary when “Require review rating” is disabled in performance account settings.

Time-Off Request Experience Improvements

We fixed display and submission issues in time-off and onboarding workflows.

What’s New

  • Fixed a partial-day time-off request duration display bug in the new request submit screen

  • Updated custom date picker width in staff onboarding (Step 1) for improved layout consistency
