October 2026 Release Updates
We're excited to share a number of improvements and fixes across PurelyHR. This release includes usability enhancements, security updates, and several fixes based on customer feedback.
Security Enhancements
As part of our ongoing commitment to account security and the recommendations identified during our annual security assessment, we've implemented the following improvements:
- All active sessions are now automatically invalidated when a user changes their password or logs out.
- Enhanced session cookie security through updated browser compatibility settings.
These updates help further strengthen account and session security across the platform.
Qualifications Management Improvements
Employees can now self-manage additional qualification types.
Previously, employees could only add and maintain Training Qualifications. With this update, employees can now create and manage:
- Certifications
- Accreditations
- Licenses
- Training Qualifications
This gives employees greater control over keeping their qualification records up to date.
Time-Off Improvements & Fixes
Improved User Selection in Reports
Resolved an issue affecting French and Spanish accounts where the user selector was not displaying correctly in certain Time-Off reports.
Managers Can Submit Requests on Behalf of Employees
We've restored the employee selection dropdown when managers submit a Time-Off request on behalf of a team member, making the process quicker and easier.
Approval Notification Fix
Fixed an issue that could cause duplicate email notifications during specific approval-sequence workflows for Time-Off requests.
Balance/Allowance Report Improvement
The Balance/Allowance Report now supports horizontal scrolling when multiple Time-Off types are displayed, making it easier to view all information without layout issues.
Improved Comment Formatting
Comments entered on Time-Off requests now preserve line breaks, improving readability for managers and employees reviewing requests.
Approval Sequence Visual Enhancement
Restored the green status indicator within approval sequences to make approval statuses easier to identify at a glance.
