What Can You Customize?

  • Termination Types
    Examples: Fired, Lay-off, Retirement, Separation from Employment
    These help track the nature of historical terminations for reporting and rehiring decisions.
  • Termination Reasons
    Examples: Attendance issues, Policy violation, Retired
    Most terminations happen for a reason—good or bad. Recording these reasons provides clarity and compliance.
  • Termination Checklist
    A simple, customizable checklist to ensure all steps are completed
    (e.g., collect company property, disable system access, process final pay).


How to Access Termination Settings

  1. Go to Staff in your PurelyHR dashboard.
  2. Select Termination Process.
  3. Add or edit:
    • Termination Checklist
    • Termination Types
    • Termination Reasons
